Pen and ink is a very creative medium because one can be freely expresive or be very detailed in the drawing. If ink is released in the correct manner it can have a life of it's own and match the flow and luminosiity of watercolour. Using a fine nib, one can also create a tight and accurate drawing. I tend to combine both methods to produce an atmospheric backdrop to landscapes and buildings.
