These oil paintings are taken from sketchbook drawings and they are also painted 'on the spot' outdoors (en plein air).The main subjects of my paintings are the landscape and seascapes of North Wales, and I am usually sitting on the beach or in the mountains with my painting easel or sketchbook. I am always looking for the sublime and atmospheric moments which are only caught through artists eyes. I mostly work out of doors with a pallete knife, then more refined work is finished in the studio wlth either brush or pallete knife.
